Helpful Hints

These big buttons on the left hand side of most pages lead to the major sections, and hopefully the labels are fairly self-explanatory.   This button, and others on this page, will change colour when you move the mouse over them, as in the rest of the site, but they won't actually do anything.

These buttons might not appear on every page, but they'll always come back when you need them. especially if you click a "Home" link anywhere.

The following symbols act as internal links.   They all open something or other, usually a picture or an explanatory page. Or maybe something tricky, but never anything nasty.   And of course we don't do ads at all.   Vonnie promises!

Please note that Southern Crosses don't do anything when you move the mouse over them..   They probably will one day, when I can think of an interesting effect.

Other links within the site may represented by a logo.   These are mostly external links which will open in a new page   Here's an example of one:

Not every logo you see will have a link attached to it, so don't worry if some don't do anything.   Sometimes they just make a page look pretty.

Just about all other links on the site are text links and are shown as white text.

These links appear at the top right and centre bottom of most pages, and occasionally within the main text on the page.

I haven't differentiated here between internal and external links, but all external links will open in a new page, and all have been checked for currency and suitability of content.

Some additional information:

There are no Macromedia (Adobe) Flash® objects on the site

There is a single ActiveX® control, used to play the song on the "Stuff" page.    All it does is start a mini version of Windows Media Player®.

The site does utilise a few Java® scripts, so I'd recommend having Java enabled.   If you don't have the latest Java® yet, click on the logo below, which is a working example of an external link.
