Most of the time this site is very therapeutic for me, but sometimes it makes me so sad that I can hardly look at it. Thankfully I haven't been completely alone though, so the bad times have at least been bearable.
I gratefully acknowledge the assistance of the following people:
Rachel Hawkes,
Vonnie's step-daughter and my daughter, proof reader, colour advisor, counsellor and best friend.
Simon & Lisa Adams,
my Brother- and Sister-in-law and their family who help keep Vonnie alive for me.
Ben Adams,
Vonnie's Big Bro, a steadfast friend who shares my grief and inspires me to keep going with this.
Karen Schreck,
source of my first HTML and inspiration for my page layouts.
Evelyn Adams,
an angel, whom I miss greatly.
Mick "Strawbs" Appleton,
without whom I would have completely lost touch with reality.
To these wonderful people go my heartfelt thanks.
For them and others who have helped the Website or myself personally during the trauma of the past year, I include here an extract from one of the poems which appears in Vonnie's favourites.
Question not, but live and labour
Till yon goal be won;
Helping every feeble neighbour,
Seeking help from none.
Life is mainly Froth and Bubble
Two things stand like stone-
Kindness in another's trouble.
Courage in your own.
That's what it's all about, I reckon.
